Vocabulary
Time phrases that make French conversations easier.
You can say a lot with a small set of time expressions. These words help you talk about plans, habits, and what is happening now.
Today, tomorrow, yesterday
- aujourd'hui today
- demain tomorrow
- hier yesterday
- ce matin this morning
- ce soir this evening
Right now and these days
Maintenant means now. En ce moment means at the moment or these days.
J'étudie le français en ce moment. I am studying French these days.
Tout à l'heure
Tout à l'heure is very useful and a little tricky. It can mean earlier today or later today, depending on context.
- Je l'ai vu tout à l'heure. I saw him earlier.
- À tout à l'heure ! See you later today!
Make simple sentences
Demain, je vais travailler. Tomorrow, I am going to work. Ce soir, on mange à la maison. Tonight, we are eating at home.
Time phrases are powerful because they let you reuse the same grammar in many real situations.
